Bowman Williams is seeking a Systems Engineer for a single high-profile client, offering ownership of escalations and ongoing infrastructure improvements. The role focuses on Microsoft cloud, networking, endpoint management, and hybrid work arrangements.

You will work with senior engineers and directly communicate with client stakeholders, handling deployments, migrations, and day-to-day technical ownership in a fast-paced MSP environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID; configure CA policies.
• Manage Intune/MDM and Microsoft Cloud PC environments.
• Support Windows Server 2016+ and mixed Windows/macOS environments.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, tickets and time entries.

Location: Manhattan, NY 2 days onsite / 3 days remote

Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 + Full Benefits

We are working with a well-established Managed Service Provider that has been delivering high-touch IT and cybersecurity services for more than 20 years. The company supports high-profile clients across financial services and other technology-intensive industries where reliability, security, and responsiveness are critical.

This is a strong opportunity for an engineer who wants more ownership and client exposure while continuing to grow across Microsoft cloud, networking, endpoint management, and infrastructure. Unlike a traditional MSP support role, this position is structured around one dedicated high-profile client, allowing you to become deeply familiar with their environment rather than constantly jumping between unrelated clients.

Primary Function

The Systems Engineer will serve as a primary technical resource for the client, handling escalations, infrastructure improvements, deployments, migrations, and day-to-day technical ownership. You'll work alongside senior engineers while managing your own workload and communicating directly with client stakeholders.

Day-to-Day

• Serve as a dedicated technical resource for one high-profile client
• Handle Tier 2/3 escalations across Microsoft, networking, endpoint, and infrastructure environments
• Administer Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID
• Configure and troubleshoot Azure Conditional Access policies and Enterprise Applications
• Manage Microsoft Intune, MDM, and Microsoft Cloud PC environments
• Support Windows Server 2016+
• Troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, VPN, and general network connectivity
• Support Cisco Meraki environments through the Meraki Dashboard
• Deploy and configure laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
• Manage user onboarding and offboarding
• Support Windows 10/11 and macOS environments
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and deployments
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, tickets, and time entries
• Communicate directly with client stakeholders regarding technical issues and follow-up
• Escalate issues appropriately to maintain SLA requirements

What They're Looking For

• Previous MSP or client-facing IT support experience
• Hands-on Microsoft 365 and Azure experience
• Strong networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, and VPN
• Comfortable supporting both Windows and macOS
• Ability to independently prioritize and manage workload
• Comfortable supporting executives and users in a high-touch, white-glove environment
