Job summary

Centurion Health at Tipton Correctional Center in Tipton, Missouri, seeks a full-time Level 1 Med Aide (L1MA) or Certified Med Tech (CMT) to administer medications, document effects, and monitor for adverse reactions.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, appropriate certifications, and the ability to pass a background check. Experience in acute, emergency, or correctional settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• L1MA/CMT specific certifications required or preferred as noted.
• Annual training: at least 4 hours every 2 years for medication administration.
• Must pass background check and obtain security clearance where applicable.
• 1 year experience in acute, emergency, or correctional setting preferred.
• Shift: Days, 7:00am-3:30pm, 5-8s, every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications as prescribed under supervision and documents effectiveness and adverse actions.
• Maintains accurate medication administration records and logs.
• Keeps tuberculosis documentation current and maintains CPR/AED certification.

Pay Ranges from $20.00 - $23.00 per hour + shift diff, depending on years of experience!Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections.We are currently seeking a full-time Level 1 Med Aide (L1MA) or Certified Med Tech (CMT) to join our team at Tipton Correctional Center located in Tipton, Missouri.The Level 1 Med Aide (L1MA) or Certified Med Tech (CMT) Under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing / nursing designee, administers medications as prescribed; and documents the medication effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects.High school diploma or GED required.L1MA’s - preferred to have current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification & Insulin certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH) which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide (mo.tmutest.com).CMT’s – required to have current active status of Certified Medication Technician (CMT), Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) and Insulin certification on the Missouri State Registry (mo.tmutest.com)Must complete required continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four (4) hours of medication administration training every two (2) years). Required training will be documented and maintained in Employee File.
