Job summary

Centurion is seeking a part-time Level 1 Medication Aide (L1MA) or Certified Med Tech (CMT) for Tipton Correctional Center in Tipton, Missouri. Under supervision, you administer medications and document outcomes, with a shift 5:00am-1:30pm, 20 hours per week and rotating weekends.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, active L1MA or CMT/CNA with insulin certification, and active CPR/AED. Background checks and security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Level 1 Medication Aide certification & Insulin certification preferred for L1MA; or CMT, CNA with Insulin certification on Missouri Registry.
• Maintain certification with minimum four hours of medication administration training every two years.
• Maintain current Tuberculosis documentation and CPR/AED certification.
• Pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
• One year experience in acute care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications as prescribed under the direction of nursing staff; documents effectiveness and any adverse actions or side effects.
• Maintains and updates certifications and completes required continuing education.
• Rotating part-time schedule with early morning shifts; supports weekends as needed.

Pay Ranges from $20.00 - $23.00 per hour + shift diff, depending on years of experience!Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections.We are currently seeking a part-time Level 1 Med Aide (L1MA) or Certified Med Tech (CMT) to join our team at Tipton Correctional Center located in Tipton, Missouri.The Level 1 Med Aide (L1MA) or Certified Med Tech (CMT) Under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing / nursing designee, administers medications as prescribed; and documents the medication effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects.High school diploma or GED required.L1MA’s - preferred to have current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification & Insulin certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH) which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide (mo.tmutest.com).CMT’s – required to have current active status of Certified Medication Technician (CMT), Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) and Insulin certification on the Missouri State Registry (mo.tmutest.com)Must complete required continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four (4) hours of medication administration training every two (2) years).
