Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Level 1 Med Aide (L1MA) or Certified Med Tech (CMT) at Crossroads Correctional Center in Cameron, Missouri. This role administers prescribed medications and monitors effectiveness, under the nursing director’s direction.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, relevant certifications (L1MA/CMT, insulin, CNA) and a willingness to complete required continuing education. Background checks and security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• L1MA certification & Insulin certification from DHSS/DMH (or equivalent).
• CMT, CNA and Insulin certification on MO Registry.
• Must complete 4 hours of medication administration training every 2 years.
• Must maintain TB documentation and CPR/AED certification.
• Background check required and ability to obtain agency security clearance.
• 1 year experience in acute care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, administers medications as prescribed and documents effectiveness and any adverse actions or side effects.
• Maintain accurate medication administration records and report issues promptly.

Pay Ranges from $20.00 - $23.00 per hour + shift diff, depending on years of experience!Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections.We are currently seeking a full-time Level 1 Med Aide (L1MA) or Certified Med Tech (CMT) to join our team at Crossroads Correctional Center located in Cameron, Missouri.The Level 1 Med Aide (L1MA) or Certified Med Tech (CMT) Under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing / nursing designee, administers medications as prescribed; and documents the medication effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects.High school diploma or GED required.L1MA’s - preferred to have current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification & Insulin certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH) which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide (mo.tmutest.com).CMT’s – required to have current active status of Certified Medication Technician (CMT), Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) and Insulin certification on the Missouri State Registry (mo.tmutest.com)Must complete required continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four (4) hours of medication administration training every two (2) years). Required training will be documented and maintained in Employee File.
