Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Part Time Medication Aide Level 1 for Farmington Correctional Center in Farmington, MO. Under supervision, administers prescribed medications, documents effects, and monitors for adverse reactions in a correctional setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED; Level 1 Medication Aide certification is preferred, along with insulin certification and CPR/AED. Continuing education is required to maintain certification; background check will be completed for

Responsibilities

• Administers medications as prescribed and documents effectiveness and any adverse actions or side effects.
• Maintains current certification with continuing education (minimum 4 hours every 2 years).
• Completes required internal training and passes background investigation for security clearance.

Pay Ranges from $20-$23 per hourCenturion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections.We are currently seeking a Part Time Medication Aide Level 1 to join our team at Farmington Correctional Center located in Farmington, Missouri.The Medication Aide Level 1 (MO) Under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing / nursing designee, administers medications as prescribed; and documents the medication effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects.High school diploma or GED required.Preferred to have current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH) which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide (mo.tmutest.com).Insulin certification preferred.Must complete required continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four (4) hours of medication administration training every two (2) years). Required training will be documented and maintained in Employee File.
