Ares Management LLC is seeking a Legal Engineering Lead (AVP) to head engineering delivery for Legal and compliance technology. This hands-on leader will partner with Legal and business stakeholders to design, build, and operate secure, auditable platforms supporting matter management, e-billing, and third-party risk management.

The role requires deep SQL skills, experience with Legal tech platforms, and ability to guide a small team while managing vendor relationships.

Formación

• 5+ years of progressive technology experience, including hands-on delivery in Legal systems and governance platforms.
• Experience in complex, regulated financial services; alternative asset management preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required; CS/Engineering background preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to influence across senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated people leadership experience in delivery and operations.

Responsabilidades

• Lead engineering delivery and operational ownership for the Legal and technology portfolio; ensure scalable, secure, audit-ready solutions.
• Technical lead for platform strategy across Legal systems including matter management and e-billing, legal entity management, CLM, and TPRM tools.
• Partner with Legal and stakeholders to translate needs into technical requirements and measurable outcomes.
• Own end-to-end delivery across discovery, architecture, build, testing, release, and production support.
• Establish integration patterns and data flows across core platforms; support reporting and compliance.
