Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Global Westlaw Engineering organization. You will lead a team delivering AI-enabled, secure, scalable legal research products with agentic systems and retrieval-augmented generation.

You will stay hands-on in architecture discussions, mentor engineers, and drive DevOps practices while ensuring delivery aligns with product roadmaps and quality standards.

Qualifications

8+ years of hands-on software engineering across front-end and back-end
3+ years of engineering management, leading production-grade systems
Hands-on with LLMs in production or prototyping (RAG, prompts, agent workflows)

Responsibilities

Build and lead a team of software engineers including Senior and Staff levels
Own hiring, onboarding, performance management, and professional development
Drive architecture, standards, and code review processes
Lead AI-enabled development with agentic systems and LLM integration
Ensure secure, reliable, scalable production services on AWS
Collaborate with Product, Design, and cross-functional leaders to set strategy and deliver
