The New York State Unified Court System is seeking two (2) Court Analysts in the Division of Professional and Court Services' Office of Legal Information. These positions will be filled in one of the following titles and will be dependent on the Qualifications and Experience of the applicant selected: Senior Court Analyst or Court Analyst.

The Office of Legal Information (OLI) supports the Unified Court System (UCS) Court Law Libraries and administers research materials, reference services, and legal information to the judiciary, court personnel, and the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to inquiries received through UCS’ high-volume, general information question email address and 1-800-COURTNY telephone hotline, providing directional guidance, court referrals, and basic legal information to the public.
  • Research and consult with OLI analysts, court law librarians, Counsel’s Office, and other units to address complex inquiries.
  • Serve as a primary contact for print book subscriptions across all libraries, manage orders, process claims for missing materials, support receipt verification, and identify opportunities to streamline and modernize workflows.
  • Establish and maintain user accounts for electronic resources and perform annual audits to verify accuracy and update records as needed.
  • Assist in developing technology solutions to improve processes, boost operational efficiency, and ensure high-quality, responsive service. Projects may include creating an internal knowledge base, leveraging Microsoft AI tools for statistical tracking and analysis, and implementing enhancements to the online catalog.
  • Participate actively in UCS committees, working groups, and OLI initiatives, collaborating effectively across department teams to advance organizational goals.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, solid research capabilities, proficiency with technology, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. Applicants with knowledge of court operations and library/information services are strongly encouraged to apply.
