Job summary

Striveworks in Austin, TX is seeking a skilled legal operations professional to own the execution life cycle for company contracts, federal compliance, and public sector work. You will translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable guidance for our teams.

Collaborating with business development, engineering, security, IT and leadership, you will maintain databases, optimize workflows, and help build a scalable internal legal function while protecting Striveworks’ IP and managing risk.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree and 3–7 years of professional experience in a corporate legal department or with a technology company or defense contractor focusing on legal operations, paralegal duties, or contract management
• Direct experience executing initial document triage and comprehensive review of commercial and public sector agreements
• Experience handling basic agreement term negotiations directly with counterparties
• Proficiency analyzing, logging, and tracking FAR and DFARS clauses, translating requirements into internal actions
• Experience implementing process improvements for contract lifecycle management
• Exceptional attention to detail, drafting skills, professional maturity, and excellent communication
• Process-oriented mindset and diligence in managing sensitive information
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain/maintain a Secret US security clearance

Responsibilities

• Own the execution life cycle for company legal operations, public sector contracts, and federal compliance
• Triage, review, evaluation, and management of customer contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, software licenses, vendor agreements, and NDAs
• Translate complex contractual requirements into concrete internal actions and guidance for operational teams
• Maintain databases, optimize tracking workflows, and build a scalable internal legal function
• Collaborate across teams including business development, engineering, security, IT, and leadership to enable responsible and efficient operations
