Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP in Chicago is seeking two experienced Legal Billers to support the firm after implementing Aderant. Immediate contributions expected, with emphasis on accurate invoicing and independent work capacity.

The roles require strong Aderant and legal billing skills, knowledge of LEDES 1998B, and the ability to manage multiple invoices reliably. Hybrid work setup with onsite training preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong legal billing experience required.
• Hands-on Aderant experience; 2–3 years preferred.
• Experience with eBilling, BillBlast, LEDES 1998B.
• Ability to work independently with minimal ramp‑up time.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow‑through.
• Effective communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Availability to begin ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process legal invoices using Aderant.
• Manage assigned billing work accurately and within deadlines.
• Review invoices for accuracy and client billing requirements.
• Prepare and submit electronic invoices, including through BillBlast.
• Work with LEDES 1998B electronic billing files.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, rejected invoices, and electronic billing issues.
• Coordinate with attorneys, billing colleagues, and accounting staff to address questions and complete billing.
• Share Aderant knowledge and assist colleagues as needed.
