Job summary

Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP in Chicago is seeking two experienced Legal Billers to provide immediate support after implementing Aderant. Positions require strong legal billing skills and hands-on Aderant experience with the ability to work independently.

Initial onsite training is preferred, with potential hybrid flexibility afterward. Fully remote candidates with strong Aderant experience will also be considered. These are temporary roles with potential temp-to-hire.

Qualifications

• Strong legal billing experience required.
• Hands-on Aderant experience; 2–3 years preferred.
• Experience with eBilling, BillBlast, LEDES 1998B.
• Ability to work independently with minimal ramp-up.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Available to begin as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process legal invoices using Aderant.
• Manage assigned billing work accurately and within deadlines.
• Review invoices for accuracy and client billing compliance.
• Prepare and submit electronic invoices, including through BillBlast.
• Work with LEDES 1998B electronic billing files.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and issues.
• Coordinate with attorneys, billing colleagues, and accounting staff.
• Share Aderant knowledge and assist colleagues as needed.
