Job description

A national law firm is seeking a paralegal/legal assistant in their Nashville, TN office. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with seasoned litigators on complex disputes in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment. This role is hybrid.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in all phases of commercial and business litigation
• Draft, review, and manage legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses
• Organize and maintain case files and litigation databases
• Coordinate document production and manage electronic discovery (e-discovery)
• Prepare exhibits, witness binders, and trial notebooks
• File documents in state and federal courts (including electronic filings)
• Conduct factual and legal research as needed
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, hearings, and depositions
• Communicate with clients, experts, and court personnel

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation legal assistant/paralegal experience (commercial litigation and labor/employment experience is preferred)
• Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court filing systems
• Experience with discovery management and document review
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and litigation support software
