Job summary

Cree LED, Inc. in Raleigh/Durham, NC, is seeking a Process Development Engineer to advance LED products and manufacturing processes from development through transfer to high-volume production.

You will run experiments, analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve yield, quality, and manufacturability. The role fits hands-on engineers who enjoy solving complex problems, learning new processes, and supporting launch and scale-up of next‑generation LED

Qualifications

• BS or MS in engineering or physical sciences.
• 2–5 years in process development or semiconductor-related roles.
• Strong data collection, analysis, and data-driven recommendations.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support development and transfer of LED products to high-volume production.
• Assist experiments, data collection, and process capability analysis.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with R&D, Manufacturing, QA, and Purchasing.
• Document results and support continuous improvement.
