Job summary

Cree LED, a Penguin Solutions brand, is seeking a Product Manager to lead several product families within its LED portfolio in a hybrid Durham, North Carolina facility. You will drive product strategy, lifecycle management, pricing, and cross-functional execution with engineering, R&D, operations, and sales.

The role emphasizes market analysis, MRD/PRD development, and close collaboration with marketing to launch products while achieving revenue and margin targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with sales/marketing coursework.
• 5+ years of product management or product marketing experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel, including international travel as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Own product life-cycle from concept to obsolescence.
• Define, execute and maintain product strategy, positioning and roadmap.
• Develop MRDs and PRDs for new product development with prioritized features and target markets.
• Collaborate with engineering, R&D, operations and sales to develop or enhance products.
• Develop and execute a pricing strategy to meet revenue and margin targets.
• Coordinate product launches with product marketing and corporate marketing.
• Lead customer engagement, presentations and seminars.
• Monitor sales forecasts, key accounts, and market trends against targets.
• Act as product spokesperson at conferences and trade shows.
