Job summary

i2Systems is seeking a Purchasing Agent in Morris, CT to source materials, negotiate terms, and manage procurement for LED lighting components. You will collaborate with planning, quality, and production to ensure timely delivery and efficient stock turnover.

The role requires strong negotiation, organizational and communication skills, with experience in inventory management. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with benefits supporting health and financial security.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials and components; negotiate pricing and lead times.
• Manage inventory levels and turnover; avoid overstock.
• Participate in process improvements to reduce costs.
• Develop supplier relationships; evaluate performance.
• Conduct market research on trends and disruptions.
• Coordinate domestic and international freight and logistics documentation.
