Job summary

Bedford College Group is seeking a Lecturer in Early Years and Childcare to join the Health, Social Care and Childcare department at Bedford College. You will deliver high-quality teaching across Early Years and related programmes, developing schemes of work and ensuring student progress.

The role requires Level 4+ qualification in Early Years/Primary Education, GCSEs, and proven teaching excellence. A Trainee Lecturer track is available with salary £26,651–£31,982 and 35 days leave.

Qualifications

  • Qualified teaching experience in Early Years or Primary Education.
  • Ability to design up-to-date schemes of work meeting awarding body requirements.
  • Strong assessment, tracking and quality assurance skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching, assessment and verification across Early Years, Primary Education and Health & Social Care programmes.
  • Develop learning materials and schemes of work that reflect curriculum intent.
  • Engage with employers to secure meaningful industry placements and experiences.
  • Maintain safeguarding, health and safety, and inclusive practices.
  • Complete administrative duties accurately and contribute to KPIs.
