Bedford College Group is seeking a Trainee Lecturer in Science to join the Science department at Cauldwell Street Campus in Bedford. The role involves delivering high-quality science teaching across courses and supporting student achievement.

The successful candidate will have a Teacher Qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed) and a degree in Science or related field, with a commitment to safeguarding and continuous professional development. This is a permanent, on-site post with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with PGCE/Cert Ed or equivalent.
• Degree in Science or related field, with GCSE English and Maths.
• Willingness to gain a teaching qualification if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality teaching across science courses, adapting to learner needs.
• Assess, verify and monitor student work in line with awarding body standards.
• Develop up-to-date schemes of work and learning materials.
• Support students to achieve potential and promote positive behaviour.
• Complete course administration, support safeguarding, health & safety and professional standards.
