Job summary

The Bedford College Group is seeking a Learning Support Practitioner for Bedford Campus to support SEND learners and enable inclusive access to the curriculum. This UK-based, term-time role requires a Level 3 qualification in Learning Support or related field and Level 2 Maths/English, with mobility across sites and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in Learning Support, Education or related field with Level 2 Maths and English.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND or additional needs in education or care settings.
• Strong literacy, numeracy, communication and digital skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Able to build positive relationships and promote learner independence.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle for mobility.

Responsibilities

• Personalised Learner Support - provide tailored support to SEND learners and help them access the curriculum.
• Inclusive Learning & Development - support communication, behaviour and study skills with teaching staff.
• Progress Monitoring & EHCP Outcomes - observe and report learner progress for EHCP reviews.
• Collaboration & Professional Practice - work with teachers, therapists and parents to provide holistic support.
• Safe & Inclusive Practice - promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, and health & safety.
