Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Leave of Absence Specialist based in Irvine, CA for a contract-to-hire position at our corporate headquarters. You will manage LOA claims, coordinate with a third‑party administrator, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while delivering strong customer service.

Responsibilities include investigating issues with EDD and approvals, auditing data in HRIS and Excel, and supporting HR with accommodations and inquiries from state agencies and insurers.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of HR experience with focus on leave management (FMLA, workers' comp).
• Experience handling leave processes and third-party administration.
• Knowledge of HRIS systems and Excel (pivot tables).

Responsibilities

• Handle escalations related to leave management and investigate issues with approvals.
• Oversee leave of absence claims with third-party administrator support.
• Track and analyze leave data using HRIS and Excel.
• Respond to state agencies and insurance requests regarding plans and leaves.
• Provide excellent customer service via phone, email, and mail.
• Audit LOA data for compliance and accuracy.
• Coordinate accommodations with managers and HR.
