Job summary

The Standard is seeking a Leave and Disability Examiner to manage short-term disability, state disability, and leave claims with a focus on accurate analysis, timely decisions, and exceptional customer service.

You will review medical, employment, and policy information, determine eligibility, coordinate claim decisions, and guide employees and employers through the process to ensure smooth, compliant outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience in office administration or customer service
• Familiarity with leave, benefits, or disability claim management preferred
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written

Responsibilities

• Review and manage short-term disability, state disability, and leave claims.
• Determine eligibility and benefits by analyzing medical, employment, and policy information.
• Coordinate claim and leave decisions, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
• Provide excellent customer service and support to employees, employers, and stakeholders.
• Resolve claim issues, gather required documentation, and collaborate with internal and external partners.
