Job summary

Pick-n-Pull Auto and Truck Dismantlers is seeking a Leave Specialist to be the internal resource for leave of absence administration, guiding employees from request through return to work with confidentiality and care. You will work with a third-party vendor and HR stakeholders to ensure accurate, compliant leave processes.

The role requires 2–4 years of related experience and strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and state leave programs.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in leave of absence administration, HR operations, or related HR support.
• Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and state leave laws including Oregon Paid Leave and WA PFML.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple open cases with accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to explain leave information clearly.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Attention to detail with accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as internal contact for all leave requests and coordinate with third-party vendor for intake and notices.
• Guide employees through the leave lifecycle with confidentiality and compassion.
• Maintain information flow between vendor, employees, and HR stakeholders.
• Track intermittent leave and monitor balances with vendor reporting.
• Follow up on missing medical certifications and escalate as needed.
• Communicate return-to-work dates to managers and payroll.
• Identify ADA accommodation needs and support interactive process with HR Manager.
• Monitor benefit premium obligations during leave and coordinate with payroll and benefits.
• Identify gaps between vendor procedures and internal HR practices and advise improvements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
