Job summary

CNA Financial is seeking a Leave Administration & Compliance Program Manager to join the HR Shared Services team. You will manage the administration, governance, and continuous improvement of leave of absence and accommodation programs, and oversee HR compliance activities including audits and regulatory updates.

You will lead program initiatives and partner with Legal, Benefits, Payroll, and vendors to ensure compliant and efficient processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of leave administration or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of FMLA and state leave programs.
• Experience managing HRIS and leave administration systems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Leave Administration: support the administration and governance of federal, state, local, and company leave programs.
• Serve as the first escalation point for complex leave, disability, accommodation, and employment eligibility matters.
• Translate requirements into consistent processes, documentation, and guidance for employees and managers.
• Coordinate with HR partners and vendors to ensure alignment on processes and hand-offs.
• Monitor case trends, service quality, controls, and program risks.
• Support policy, system, process, and vendor improvements affecting leave administration.
• Support HR compliance programs and recurring administrative requirements.
• Perform audits, remediation activities, and regulatory implementation.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact.
• Develop procedures, communications, training, and readiness plans.
• Escalate compliance risks and propose corrective actions.
• Establish program measures and use reports to inform on operations and risks.
• Lead or contribute to other HR Shared Services initiatives as priorities dictate.
