Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Leasing Consultant responsible for leasing, retention, and occupancy while promoting resident satisfaction. The role emphasizes customer service and creating a lasting impression on visitors, prospects, and residents.

You will greet prospects, prepare move-in paperwork, record visits, and manage applications in accordance with Fair Housing requirements. A bilingual Spanish option is a plus, with opportunities for growth and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with the public and/or sales.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospects and qualify by covering all criteria (ask questions, utilize completed guest cards).
• Prepare move-in packages and lease paperwork.
• Immediately record all telephone and in-person visits on reports; file guest cards.
• Inspect models and available units; communicate service needs to Community Manager.
• Have the prospect complete the application and secure a deposit following procedures.
• Update availability reports and process applications for approval (credit check, rental history).
• Assist in monitoring renewals; distribute and follow up on renewal notices.
• Monitor advertising effectiveness; gather market information.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Accept rental payments and forward to Assistant Community Manager.
• Type lease paperwork and input information into Yardi; review before signatures.
• Assist management with various tasks; consistently apply community policies.
