Job summary

Birchstone Residential is seeking a Leasing Specialist to support leasing operations and the financial performance of a community. You will coordinate apartment rentals, move-ins, move-outs, and renewals, while delivering excellent service and representing the Birchstone brand.

The role includes tours, applicant screening, market awareness, and collaboration with Property Managers. Strong communication, organization, and a proactive, team-oriented approach are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1+ year leasing, sales, or customer service experience required.
• 1+ year in multi-family property management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective residents and provide tours; explain community value and experience.
• Deliver excellent customer service to current and prospective residents.
• Qualify and screen applicants; process rental applications per Fair Housing guidelines.
• Secure deposits and leases; communicate expirations and renewals.
• Explain community policies to residents and assist with move-ins/outs.
• Assist with inspections; ensure units are clean and ready for new residents.
• Address resident concerns and follow up on service requests.
• Support community marketing and resident events; maintain online ads and market awareness.
• Research resident amenities and programs to drive revenue and value.
• Assist with special projects including capital improvement monitoring.
• Participate in meetings with Property Manager and support daily reporting.
