Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent preferred; or 6 months to 1 year related experience.
• Ability to operate basic office equipment.
• Bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with prospective Residents seeking information and current Residents with complaints or problems.
• Develops and maintains resident relations through courteous on-site staff, prompt maintenance calls, and knowledge of community policies.
• Learns to develop professional sales techniques.
• Accompanies prospects to model apartments and discusses size and layout of rooms, facilities, and terms of lease.
• Makes follow-up calls to prospective Residents who did not fill out an application.
• Completes lease forms and collects rental deposits.
• Inspects model apartment condition daily and coordinates maintenance.
• Maintains and updates listings of available rental units.
• Assists with composing newspaper advertisements.
• Contacts credit bureau, previous landlord, and employment history for prospective Residents.
• Substitutes for Assistant Manager when absent.
• Adheres to all fair housing laws.
