Job summary

Freeman Webb Company Realtors, LLC in Nashville, TN seeks a Leasing Agent to show and lease apartments to prospective residents and manage inquiries. You will develop resident relations, coordinate maintenance, and guide applicants through the leasing process.

Responsibilities include completing leases, collecting deposits, updating listings, and assisting with newspaper ads. A commitment to fair housing and teamwork is essential in a fast-paced property‑management environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two‑year college or technical school preferred; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bilingual a plus.
• Ability to operate basic office equipment such as copier, fax, computer, typewriter, calculator and telephone.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with prospective Residents requiring information and current Residents with complaints or problems.
• Develops and maintains Resident relations through on-site personnel, prompt maintenance calls, newsletters, and knowledge of community policies.
• Learn to develop professional sales techniques.
• Accompanies prospects to model apartments and discusses size and layout of rooms, facilities, and terms of lease.
• Makes follow‑up calls to prospective Residents who did not fill out an application.
• Completes lease form or agreement and collects rental deposit.
• Inspects condition of model daily and arranges for necessary maintenance.
• Compiles and updates listings of available rental units.
• Assists with the composition of newspaper advertisements.
• Contacts credit bureau, previous landlord, and employment history of prospective Residents.
• Substitutes for Assistant Manager when absent.
• Adheres to all fair housing laws.
