Job summary

Rainey Property Management in Sacramento is seeking a proactive Leasing Consultant with affordable housing experience to attract and assist prospective residents, conduct property tours, and guide applicants through the leasing process.

You will ensure compliance with HUD, LIHTC and Section 8 guidelines, review income certifications and renewals, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with the team to optimize occupancy and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of leasing or sales experience, preferably in affordable housing (HUD, LIHTC, Section 8).
• Understanding of affordable housing compliance and tenant eligibility requirements.
• Excellent communication, sales, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for prospective residents and provide information on availability and features.
• Conduct property tours and explain affordable housing programs.
• Assist with lease applications and determine eligibility for affordable housing programs.
• Maintain accurate leasing records and track data using property management software.
• Collaborate with the Property Manager and staff to support operations and compliance.
