Job summary

Valiant Residential in San Antonio seeks a Leasing Consultant to drive leasing, occupancy, and retention for the community with a strong customer-service focus.

Greet prospects, prepare move-in packages, process applications, and maintain files. You will report to the Community Manager and collaborate with a bold, innovative team while contributing to a culture of excellence, growth, and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with the public and/or sales.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospective residents.
• Ability to support and contribute to the community team.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with telephone, computer, and community software (MS Office).
• Positive attitude and professionalism throughout the workday.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
• Two years of customer service experience.
• Neat, clean, and professional appearance.
• Adherence to employee handbook and policies.
• Ability to defuse and respond to customer concerns.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospects and qualify by criteria.
• Prepare move-in packages and lease paperwork.
• Record visits and maintain guest cards and reports.
• Inspect models and market-ready units; communicate needs to Community Manager.
• Process applications and deposits per procedures and Fair Housing requirements.
• Update availability and process approvals (credit, rental history).
• Assist in renewals and distribute renewal notices.
• Monitor advertising effectiveness and gather market information.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Accept rental payments and forward to the Assistant Community Manager.
• Input lease data into the Yardi system and review with Community Manager.
• Assist management with other tasks and enforce community policies.
