Job summary

AppleOne is seeking a Leasing Professional for a temporary assignment in Dallas, TX. The role involves conducting eligibility interviews, reexaminations, and income verification to determine housing program eligibility.

You will support leasing activities, data entry, and resident communications while upholding confidentiality and compliance. The position runs during standard business hours, with a schedule Monday through Thursday and Friday half-day.

Schedule
  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
What You'll Do
  • Conduct group and individual eligibility interviews for applicants seeking admission to public housing programs.
  • Perform annual and interim reexaminations of client income and family composition.
  • Obtain and verify information related to household income, family composition, and other eligibility factors.
  • Resolve issues and maintain effective communication with clients.
  • Enter required information into application forms and systems.
  • Compute tenant rent and determine applicant and resident eligibility.
  • Review client files, verify information, and maintain accurate documentation and records.
  • Process annual recertifications and interim changes.
  • Respond to inquiries by phone and in writing.
  • Counsel clients regarding their rights and responsibilities.
  • Explain client’s programs, procedures, and services to clients.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client records, work-related matters, and client’s information.
  • Provide support to Property Management office operations as needed.
  • Respond to resident questions and inquiries.
  • Attend monthly resident meetings and other meetings as required.
  • Resolve tenant complaints in accordance with client’s policy.
  • Enforce lease requirements.
  • Investigate and mediate complaints and disruptive situations.
  • Register and monitor resident vehicles on the property.
  • Coordinate with police and security officers as needed.
  • Update and maintain incident reports.
  • Perform administrative duties, including data entry, document preparation, processing, and file maintenance.
  • Log and assign work orders.
  • Update and maintain the client database.
  • Assist with showing and leasing units to prospective residents.
  • Conduct orientation discussions during lease signing.
  • Manage resident move-ins, move-outs, transfers, and eviction procedures.
  • Prepare default letters and assess late fees in accordance with lease terms.
  • Assist with the collection, analysis, and reporting of data used to evaluate property management objectives.
Requirements
  • Ability to conduct eligibility interviews and determine housing program eligibility.
  • Experience reviewing and verifying client documentation and income information.
  • Strong customer service and client communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of leasing, property management, and resident relations processes.
  • Experience handling tenant complaints and conflict resolution.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Data entry and database management experience.
  • Ability to prepare and process documents accurately.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and providing professional client support.
  • Ability to independently handle resident inquiries, lease compliance matters, and operational responsibilities.
