Job summary

WMFHA is seeking a Leasing Agent to join its Baltimore team. The role focuses on driving occupancy by marketing available apartments, conducting property tours, and converting prospects into residents.

You will coordinate rental applications and leases, maintain accurate prospect and leasing records, follow up with prospects to maximize conversions, and assist with marketing across online listings and signage.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of leasing or customer service experience.
• Multifamily leasing experience preferred.
• Strong sales, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, customer-focused approach with strong follow-through.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and computer skills.
• Availability to work weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Respond to leasing inquiries and follow up with prospective residents.
• Conduct property and apartment tours and effectively communicate community features and amenities.
• Prepare and process rental applications, leases, and related documentation.
• Maintain accurate prospect and leasing activity records.
• Follow up with prospects to maximize conversion and occupancy.
• Assist with marketing available units through online listings, signage, and other channels.
• Provide professional and responsive customer service to current and prospective residents.
• Coordinate move-ins and assist with resident onboarding.
• Monitor market rents, competitor properties, and local leasing activity.
• Work closely with the Property Manager and onsite team to achieve occupancy and revenue goals.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable Fair Housing requirements.
