Balfour Beatty Communities is seeking a Leasing Specialist in Richardson, TX to support marketing, sales and customer service for prospective residents. You will manage leads, coordinate the leasing process, and help execute a community marketing plan.

Responsibilities include showing units, processing applications, ensuring units are rent-ready, and maintaining high occupancy through proactive marketing and exceptional resident service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in business-related field or communications preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service.
• Leasing experience preferred.
• Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office; Entrata experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong sales focus for prospective and current residents.
• Coordinate leasing process from initial contact to move-in.
• Manage leads from software platforms (Yardi) and follow up with prospects.
• Explain community amenities and fit needs of residents.
• Open/close models, ensure units are rent-ready, and perform basic cleaning.
• Assist in creating and executing marketing plans for the community.
• Marketing to attract residents and maintain occupancy targets.
• Provide smooth transition for new residents and explain move-in steps.
• Maintain unit availability and communicate with residents about openings.
• Answer phones and assist residents; ensure work orders meet expectations.
