Job summary

Island Palm Communities in Honolulu, HI is seeking a Leasing Consultant to show, sell, and lease homes, manage waitlists, and support resident relations.

You will handle inquiries, process applications, maintain occupancy, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure Rent Ready properties are ready and presentable. A high school diploma and 1–2 years in sales or hospitality are required; MS Office and YARDI knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 to 2 years’ experience in sales, leasing and hospitality or customer service.
• Property management experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Working knowledge of YARDI preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review prospective residents applications to verify qualifications for the community according to laws and regulations.
• Handle telephone inquiries, internet leads and walk-in traffic and manage lead follow-up through CRM.
• Maintain and increase occupancy by selling and leasing homes through matching customers’ needs with inventory.
• Utilizes features/benefits, selling to communicate community value.
• Promotes positive resident relations by ensuring high-quality living experiences and first impressions.
• Educates and informs prospects of resident rules, policies, and procedures.
• Perform administrative functions required to lease property (rental applications, data entry, general correspondence, waitlist maintenance and resident files).
• May ensure ‘Rent Ready’ property is presentable at all times with attention to the five senses.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers respecting cultural differences.
