Job summary

AION Management is seeking a Leasing Associate for Chesapeake Pointe in Portsmouth, VA. The role focuses on maximizing occupancy, coordinating move-ins, and delivering exceptional customer service at the property.

You will conduct tours, respond to inquiries, and develop local marketing and referral initiatives to increase qualified traffic and improve retention. This position requires weekend availability and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college preferred.
• In Pennsylvania or New Jersey, must obtain a real estate license within 120 days of hire.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to walk apartments and grounds, including steps and climbing stairs.
• Occasionally required to lift 20 pounds or less.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all leasing activities: respond to inquiries, provide tours, follow up with prospects, and coordinate move-ins.
• Recommend strategies and programs for on-site marketing activity.
• Develop and monitor merchant/neighborhood referral programs for move-in packets and resident retention.
• Initiate sales outreach plans for new development, community management, and external communication.
• Recommend programs to increase qualified traffic and closing ratios.
• Attend weekly marketing meetings.
• Maintain passing e-shop, phone shop, and physical shop scores of 85% or higher.
• Inspect market-ready units and models each morning.
• Accurately enter prospect and resident data into Real Page/OneSite and keep files organized.
• Comply with Fair Housing laws and occupancy standards.
