Cardinal Group Companies in Tampa is seeking a Leasing Community Intern (Temporary, Non-Exempt). The role focuses on delivering outstanding resident service, supporting leasing efforts, and helping maintain high occupancy through proactive engagement with prospects and existing residents.

You will gain hands-on experience in leasing, front desk operations, and event planning while following the Cardinal Way of Leasing. Evening/weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university.
• Must have completed a minimum of one year at the enrolled college or university.
• Maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA; GPA will be verified annually. Failure to maintain may result in probation, suspension or release.
• Must be a current or future leaseholder of the community.
• Must live on designated community floor, per community guidelines, as assigned by Community Manager.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Available to be scheduled for work approximately 20 hours per week.
• Available evenings and weekends.
• Ability to embody Cardinal Culture and Cardinal’s Core Values every day.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for customer service by consistently going above and beyond to ensure that Cardinal customers are satisfied.
• Administrative Front Desk tasks and duties.
• Participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing (CWoL) training as required.
• Utilize the Cardinal Way of Leasing by greeting prospective clients, answering leasing calls, determining needs and preferences, presenting the community and apartments, and closing the sale.
• Complete all lease applications and lease file paperwork.
• Pass third party leasing shops and become Cardinal Way of Leasing certified.
• Maintain accurate lease file documentation and participate in audits.
• Maintain cleanliness of the tour path for a positive first impression.
• Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude with all stakeholders.
• Assist with planning community events and other projects; participate in Cardinal U training.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program

Completed at least one year at enrolled college/university

Minimum 2.5 GPA

Current or future leaseholder of community

Live on designated community floor

Lift up to 40 lbs

Valid driver's license

Available ~20 hours per week

Evenings and weekends availability
