Job summary

Cardinal Group in College Station, TX is seeking a Leasing Community Intern (Temporary, Non-Exempt) to deliver high-quality customer service and help achieve 100% occupancy through retention and proactive leasing.

You will perform front desk duties, greet prospective residents, answer calls, present the community, process lease applications, and participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing training. Availability includes some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university, with a minimum of 6 credit hours.
• Must have completed a minimum of one year at the enrolled accredited college or university.
• Must maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA. GPA will be verified annually.
• Must be a current or future leaseholder of the community.
• Must live on designated community floor, per guidelines.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Available to be scheduled for work approximately 20 hours per week.
• Available evenings and weekends.
• Ability to embody Cardinal Culture and Cardinal’s Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for customer service and ensure resident satisfaction.
• Administrative Front Desk tasks and duties.
• Participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing (CWoL) training.
• Warmly greet prospective clients and answer leasing calls; determine needs and present the community.
• Utilize feature/benefit selling and close the sale; follow up.
• Complete lease applications and lease file paperwork.
• Pass third party leasing shops and become Cardinal Way of Leasing certified.
• Maintain lease file documentation and participate in audits.
• Maintain cleanliness of tour path for a positive first impression.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude with team, residents, and vendors.
• Participate in community events and Cardinal U training.
• On-call responsibilities; evenings and weekends.
