Our client is seeking a Real Estate agent looking to transition into a Leasing Agent role with 1 year of experience to join their team in Downtown Brooklyn. The Leasing Representative is responsible for supporting the leasing department. We are looking for someone entry-level or junior. The candidate does not necessarily need extensive real estate background but should be eager to learn. The Leasing Representative reports directly to the Leasing Manager for their property or portfolio of properties and is responsive to the Director of Leasing, Executive Director of Leasing, and other department heads. This position is on-site.

Details:

• Pay rate: $28 per hour
• This is a temporary position throughout the summer

Responsibilities:

• Greet and register prospects, determine needs and preferences, and professionally present community and apartments.
• Assist lease applicants throughout the application and approval process.
• Coordinate move-in dates with building management.
• Price apartments according to market rates.
• Handle, track, and follow up on all email and phone inquiries.
• Process applications and prepare leases for signing.
• Manage web page functions including photo and floor plan display, unit descriptions, and property descriptions.
• Conduct outreach and follow-up with current residents whose leases expire in the next 90-120 days to assist in their decision to renew.
• Manage calendar of appointments.
• Ensure proper lease file organization and prepare daily and weekly reports.
• Maintain office and market-ready vacant apartments in showing condition.
• Ensure the office is stocked with supplies, brochures, leases, equipment, and forms as needed.
• Conduct market surveys, analysis, and community outreach.
• Record all traffic, calls, and activities into the lead management system.
• Complete special reports and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Must work Saturdays.
• Solution-oriented attitude.
• Minimum one year of multi-family leasing experience.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Updated understanding of rent stabilization rules and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent customer service and follow-up skills.
• Training in Fair Housing regulations.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid work history with excellent references.
• Team-oriented, self-motivated, and positive attitude.
• Experience in hospitality and/or mixed-income buildings is a plus.
