Position Overview

The Leasing Agent reports to the General Manager and assists with the daily operations of the property to ensure customer satisfaction, fiscal stability, and good physical condition.

Responsibilities

1. Assist with leasing to ensure high occupancy levels, including mailing renewal offers, logging responses, and managing property availability.
2. Maintain accurate records of availability in line with lease renewal reports.
3. Approve, enter, and present rental applications to the General Manager for approval.
4. Manage property licenses and renewals, liaising with legal counsel and the City.
5. Assist with check-out processes, including inspections of vacated units and final account statements.
6. Ensure accurate and efficient lease signings and resident check-ins.
7. Respond promptly to resident concerns and complaints, maintaining good public relations and reporting to the General Manager.
8. Prepare weekly performance reports as required.
9. Assist in developing and implementing marketing and resident retention programs.
10. Maintain courteous communication with residents, applicants, employees, and vendors.
11. Handle general administrative duties such as filing and typing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; knowledge of Entrata is a plus.
• Strong numerical analysis and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to produce accurate, grammatically correct documents.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and follow through on paperwork deadlines.
• Positive, professional, and enthusiastic attitude.
