Job summary

Meta is seeking a Preconstruction Manager, Leased to lead data center lease negotiations and manage leased projects from design kick-off through to ground breaking and contract execution in New York. You will coordinate with DEC leadership, engineering, and construction teams to optimize scope, cost, and schedule.

You will develop budgets, schedules, and constructability plans; conduct bid analysis; and drive risk and change management with external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a directly related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, or equivalent technical degree and/or 10+ years of direct professional experience in Commercial Management, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to align on project scope, schedule, and deliverables through structured communication (e.g., status reports, stakeholder meetings, written proposals).
• Experience with large capital projects, leased data center development, ground-up construction, and greenfield site development as well as retrofit construction.
• Experience in all aspects of preconstruction: budget development, scheduling, change management, risk management, negotiation, and contract administration.
• Experience in construction schedules, costs, supply chain analysis, risk analysis, labor markets, project cash flows, and commercial contract terms and contract delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and influence fast-paced lease negotiations with data center developers balancing risk, cost, and schedule.
• Oversee execution of large-scale commercial agreements from design kickoff to construction start, coordinating inputs and terms.
• Lead program management alignment across multiple projects in preconstruction for cost, schedule and risk.
• Report project status, risk, budget, and schedule; present KPIs to leadership.
• Provide bid leveling and recommend successful bidders based on scope and pricing information.
