Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance technician to oversee and perform technical and mechanical work across the community. You will diagnose defects, complete work orders, and manage the make-ready process for vacant units to support leasing.

Responsibilities include safety compliance, routine upkeep, and ensuring all grounds and common areas meet Greystar standards. The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, tool proficiency, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools and use them safely.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Proficiency in basic math for financial, administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep.
• Diagnoses defects, makes repairs following policies and safety standards.
• Oversees make-ready process for vacant units and coordinates vendors.
• Inspects grounds, exteriors, and common areas to ensure Greystar standards.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and orders supplies within budget.
• Performs monthly preventative maintenance procedures.
• Supports budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Contributes to cost control by repairing rather than replacing when possible.
• Conducts safety meetings and stays current with OSHA requirements.
• Provides courteous, responsive customer service to residents and team.
