Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the community's buildings and common areas, including grounds and leasing offices.

You will diagnose defects from resident requests, oversee make-ready tasks for vacant units, manage vendors, and help maintain inventory and preventative maintenance per policy. The role requires a high school diploma, hands-on trade experience, tool proficiency, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Own hand tools and safe use of tools and equipment.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication.
• Proficiency with basic math for financial and administrative docs.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep.
• Oversees make-ready process for vacant apartments, schedules vendors, and inspects work.
• Develops cleanliness standards for grounds, buildings, and common areas.
• Inspects work by others and by contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and materials, orders supplies as needed.
• Performs monthly preventative maintenance per Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Supports budgeting for repair, maintenance, and capital projects.
• Promotes safety and conducts regular safety meetings; ensures OSHA compliance.
