Job summary

Greystar is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to uphold the cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality of the community's buildings, grounds, and amenities. You will diagnose defects, perform repairs, and coordinate make-ready tasks to welcome new residents.

This on-site role involves overseeing contractor work, maintaining inventory, and supporting cost-control initiatives while adhering to safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Diagnose defects and perform repairs per safety standards and code requirements.
• Prepare vacant apartment homes by completing pre-move-in inspections and making a punch list.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and order supplies to stay within budget.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and complete resident service work orders and routine community upkeep by diagnosing defects and repairing accordingly.
• Oversee and complete the make-ready process for vacant units, including pre-move-out inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and ensuring timely completion.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work by team members and contractors to ensure quality and compliance with policies.
• Inspect contractors/vendors’ work for quality, materials, and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate with Community Manager to order supplies within budget.
