Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is seeking a maintenance technician to support property upkeep across indoor and outdoor spaces. You will diagnose issues, complete work orders, and ensure facilities meet Greystar quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include managing make-ready tasks for vacant units, inspecting contractors, maintaining supplies, and participating in budgeting. A customer-service mindset and strong communication are essential for resident interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or related experience and training.
• Experience in property maintenance or related trade is preferred.
• Incumbents must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law and must be knowledgeable in safe use of tools.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication with residents, team members, and clients.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent management and interact with internal/external contacts.
• Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and database management; PMS experience preferred.
• Strong math skills for handling financial/admin documents.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair defects following policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant apartments, schedule vendors, and prepare punch lists.
• Develop standards for cleanliness/appearance of grounds, interiors, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work by staff and contractors and take corrective action as needed.
• Maintain inventory of parts and tools and order supplies within budget.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance tasks as outlined in manuals.
• Assist Community Manager in budgeting for regular repair/maintenance and capital projects.
• Support cost-cutting by fixing when possible and using tools correctly.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance and MSDS readiness.
• Provide courteous customer service to residents and respond to inquiries promptly.
