Job summary

Harbor Group Management seeks a Leasing Specialist to drive occupancy and resident satisfaction in a multifamily community. You will show and lease apartments, coordinate marketing initiatives, and assist in resident retention while supporting the Property Manager in daily operations to ensure a positive living experience and strong financial performance.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and proficiency with MS Office and property management software like Yardi or OneSite.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with customer service experience.
• Experience in leasing, sales, or customer service preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office; property management software experience is a must.
• Experience using social media for marketing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective residents, conduct tours, and showcase apartments and amenities.
• Qualify leads, process applications, run background and credit checks, prepare leases.
• Ensure units are move-in ready by coordinating with maintenance.
• Execute lease agreements and move-in packages for new residents.
• Design and implement short- and long-term marketing plans to drive occupancy.
• Promote the community via digital platforms (Craigslist, Facebook, email).
• Coordinate resident referrals, employer outreach, and local networking.
• Maintain market knowledge on competition, rents, and trends.
• Support retention with excellent customer service and timely responses.
• Follow up with prospects and new residents to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist with lease renewals and renewal documentation.
• Maintain records in property management software (Yardi, OneSite).
• Keep guest cards updated and follow up on all leads.
• Assist with rent collection and delinquent accounts; help administrative tasks.
