Pink Tile Education is currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils in a school based in the Croydon area . This role would suit someone who is passionate about supporting children with SEND, Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.
You will play an important role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and engage positively within the classroom.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing 1:1 support to pupils who require additional help
Supporting pupils with SEND, Autism and ADHD
Helping to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour
Supporting small intervention groups
Providing targeted learning support
Assisting pupils with their classroom activities and learning
Encouraging pupils to develop independence and confidence
Supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural needs
Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and other support staff
Helping to maintain a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
The successful Learning Support Assistant will be someone who:
Has a genuine passion for supporting children and young people
Is patient, calm and understanding
Is confident working with challenging behaviour
Has an interest in SEND, Autism and ADHD
Can provide effective 1:1 and small-group support
Is able to encourage and motivate pupils
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
Is reliable, proactive and resilient
Wants to develop their experience within education and SEND
Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, SEND Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Mentor or within a school, care or youth setting would be advantageous.
£100–£120 per day
