Job summary

Netsmart in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Learning Experience Designer to craft learner-centered experiences across eLearning, video, simulations, and digital content. You will collaborate with teams to support product adoption and client success, designing online courses and assessments that align with outcomes.

Responsibilities include end-to-end design and development of materials, prototyping with SMEs, and applying modern learning trends to drive engagement and learning impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in learning or technology-related field or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of instructional design/learning experience design.
• At least 2 years using course authoring tools (Articulate, Captivate, Lectora).
• Strong understanding of ADDIE, SAM, prototyping, design thinking, human-centered design, and Agile.
• Demonstrated project management skills leading large-scale projects with tight deadlines and clear updates.
• Above-average communication skills and ability to simplify complex topics.
• Portfolio demonstrating application in learning experience design or UX.
• Experience with Articulate 360 Suite.
• Learning experience design in a technology organization, preferably SAAS.
• Experience with emerging learning trends (gamification, VR, xAPI).

Netsmart is hiring a Learning Experience Designer to help make complex healthcare technology easier to learn and use. You'll create engaging, learner-centered experiences across eLearning, video, simulations, and digital content while collaborating with teams across the organization to support product adoption, proficiency, and client success.

Design and develop online learning experiences that align with learning outcomes, apply learning principles, inform learner progress and success in online learning environments.

Collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and business teams to identify goals and outcomes for learning experiences.

Design comprehension checks and assessment activities that accurately gauge learning retention and impact.

Drive end-to-end design, development, and implementation of new learning materials (self-paced courses, videos, simulations, documents, job aids, etc.).

Engage stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in prototyping and iteration of learning solutions throughout development.

Research and implement technology to enhance the learning experience including video, audio, simulations, gamification, etc.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a learning or technology-related field or equivalent relevant work experience
• At least 2 years of experience in instructional design/learning experience design
• At least 2 years of experience working with course authoring tools (Articulate, Captivate, Lectora)
• Deep level of understanding of learning experience design and instructional design models including ADDIE, SAM, Prototyping, Design Thinking, Human-Centered Design, Agile
• Demonstrated project management skills leading, designing, and developing large-scale projects with tight deadlines and communicate project updates
• Above-average communication skills and ability to communicate complex topics in terms people can understand
• Portfolio demonstrating application in learning experience design, instructional design, or user experience design.
• Experience with Articulate 360 Suite
• Learning experience design experience in a technology organization, preferably SAAS
• Experience with emerging learning trends for content creation (e.g. gamification, virtual reality, xAPI).
