Job summary

Netsmart in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Learning Experience Designer to craft learner-centered experiences across eLearning, video, simulations, and digital content. You will collaborate with teams to support product adoption and client success, designing online courses and assessments that align with outcomes.

Responsibilities include end-to-end design and development of materials, prototyping with SMEs, and applying modern learning trends to drive engagement and learning impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in learning or technology-related field or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of instructional design/learning experience design.
• At least 2 years using course authoring tools (Articulate, Captivate, Lectora).
• Strong understanding of ADDIE, SAM, prototyping, design thinking, human-centered design, and Agile.
• Demonstrated project management skills leading large-scale projects with tight deadlines and clear updates.
• Above-average communication skills and ability to simplify complex topics.
• Portfolio demonstrating application in learning experience design or UX.
• Experience with Articulate 360 Suite.
• Learning experience design in a technology organization, preferably SAAS.
• Experience with emerging learning trends (gamification, VR, xAPI).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop learning experiences aligned with outcomes.
• Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to identify goals and outcomes for learning experiences.
• Create comprehension checks and assessments to gauge learning retention and impact.
• Drive end-to-end design, development, and implementation of new learning materials.
• Prototype and iterate learning solutions with stakeholders throughout development.
• Research and implement technology to enhance the learning experience (video, simulations, gamification, etc.).
