Job summary

AAAS Learning Engagement Associate is a critical support role within the Office of Advancement, developing learning content and events for the Member Learning and Development program and AAAS Learning Hub. The role will drive communications to attract participants, facilitate trainings, and support engagement activities aligned with AAAS priorities.

The candidate should have a passion for adult learning and the ability to collaborate with internal teams, SMEs, and contractors to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Learning Design and Technology or a related field.
• 2–4 years of professional experience supporting a learning and development program.
• Instructional design experience with adult learning best practices (ADDIE).
• Proficiency completing end-to-end course development using Articulate, RISE, SCORM files, Path LMS and/or similar tools.
• Facilitation experience with virtual and in-person trainings; STEMM audiences preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the course development roadmap and content strategy for AAAS Learning Hub.
• Coordinate end-to-end development of courses and events with internal and external SMEs and contractors.
• Assist with marketing, communication and engagement tactics to increase Learning Hub usage.
• Facilitate live and pre-recorded trainings (in-person or online).
• Provide back-end admin support for setting up courses and pricing access in Learning Hub.
• Support software/tech solutions for the Learning Hub with IT and partners.
