ASAE is seeking an experienced contractor to support two interconnected initiatives:
- Modernization of ReadyMe, ASAE's flagship leadership development program
- Development of CAE-aligned microcredentials that support professional growth and credential attainment within the association profession
The ideal candidate combines strong project management, instructional design, and eLearning development capabilities with experience supporting professional development, credentialing, certification, or microcredential programs.
Engagement Details
- Duration: 6 months, with the opportunity to extend
- Hours: 10-20 hours per week
- Location: Remote within the DMV area. Occasional in-office attendance may be needed for meetings.
Responsibilities
Project Coordination
- Support day-to-day project management activities across ReadyMe and microcredential initiatives
- Maintain project plans, timelines, deliverables, and status reports
- Coordinate meetings, review cycles, and communications with stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Help ensure projects remain on schedule and aligned with established requirements
Instructional Design
- Review and update existing learning content and experiences
- Develop learning objectives, assessments, activities, and learner engagement strategies
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate expertise into effective learning experiences
- Apply adult-learning and instructional-design best practices
- Assist in establishing consistent design standards and templates across learning products
eLearning Development
- Develop and modify online learning experiences using Articulate Storyline and related tools
- Ensure accessibility, quality assurance, and LMS compatibility requirements are met
- Conduct testing and implement revisions based on stakeholder feedback
Desired Qualifications
- ICE-CCP Certification
- Experience managing learning-development projects involving multiple stakeholders and SMEs
- Strong instructional design experience focused on adult learners
- Advanced proficiency with Articulate Storyline
- Experience developing online courses, microcredentials, certificates, badges, certifications, or other professional-development programs
- Experience working with associations, credentialing organizations, professional societies, or nonprofit organizations
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and eLearning quality assurance practices
- Strong organizational, communication, and facilitation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CAE Certification
- Experience supporting the development of microcredentials or certification-related learning products
- Knowledge of competency-based learning and credentialing models
- Experience modernizing existing online learning programs
- Familiarity with the association profession and the Certified Association Executive (CAE) framework
