Job summary

Genesco is seeking an Learning & Development Manager to turn business needs into practical learning experiences across corporate functions and brands. You will design, deliver, and evaluate programs from discovery to impact, partnering with leaders and subject matter experts to address onboarding, manager development, and career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in learning and development, instructional design, education, human resources, organizational development, business, or related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• 6+ years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, talent development, training, organizational development, or related field with hands-on responsibility across multiple stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience independently leading learning initiatives from needs identification through design, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
• Experience facilitating engaging learning for varied audiences including leaders and cross-functional groups.
• Ability to share work samples or walk through examples demonstrating your approach to learning design, content development, and facilitation.

Responsibilities

• Design instructor-led, virtual, blended, and self-paced learning aligned to business priorities and outcomes.
• Create polished content including facilitator guides, presentations, digital learning, videos, job aids, assessments, toolkits, and performance support resources.
• Translate complex topics into clear learning experiences using storytelling, visuals, interaction, and practice.
• Develop learning pathways and curricula for onboarding, leadership development, career growth, and role readiness.
• Evaluate learning effectiveness and refine content, delivery methods, and learner experiences.
