Job summary

Horicon Bank is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to coordinate, administer, and execute training and development programs across the bank. You will support career development initiatives, shadow opportunities, and LMS activities to ensure a consistent employee development experience.

You will design and maintain training materials, monitor participation, and generate reports to evaluate program effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Experience in training, learning and development or program coordination.
• Office software proficiency: Word, Excel, PowerPoint; LMS familiarity.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, multitask, and work under deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; independent and collaborative work.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support coordination, administration, and execution of training and development programs across the Bank.
• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of training programs for employees.
• Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS) with tracking, reporting, and content updates.
• Coordinate Career Paths and Shadow Program development initiatives.
• Develop and maintain bank-wide role descriptions with department managers for accuracy and career alignment.
• Support talent assessment processes by tracking results and maintaining documentation.
• Collaborate with managers and staff to coordinate career development opportunities.
• Create training materials, guides, and resources to ensure consistency.
• Schedule and assist with training sessions, workshops, and development programs.
• Support facilitation efforts for training programs as needed.
• Track program participation and summarize feedback for program evaluation.
• Maintain documentation and reporting related to training and participation.
• Review training materials to align with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Update knowledge and develop professionally through training opportunities.
